Here’s Sarah’s story, in her own words:
“I wanted to get over my fear of snakes as I had had it for a very long time – I would become quite hysterical, agitated and upset when snakes were around. The worst part was working in the shop at Birdworld and not being able to serve a customer that bought a rubber snake. The more that people saw me freak out, the more they would try to play pranks on me with rubber snakes, which would get a big reaction and which they thought was funny.
Because of your work with bird phobia through Birdworld, you came highly recommended so I had no hesitations in booking. You explained the process fully and made me feel very at ease the whole time. It was very relaxing and calming even though I was preparing to face my fears. It worked so well that I was able to handle rubber snakes as soon as I had finished the session. I then had some help from the keepers at Birdworld and slowly got introduced to some real royal pythons. I gradually started to get used to the snakes and now I am able to handle them.
It has really helped me to overcome my fear of snakes, but it has also helped me to overcome fears in general.
I have become more confident in everyday life – I’m not afraid to take on new challenges and try new things that I may once have been afraid of. The whole experience was very good and I’m pleased to be able to recommend you to anyone else who would like help getting over their fears/phobias.”
